Laura Heinrich
Laura Heinrich is an oil painter based in Lafayette, California, whose work explores the quiet and often overlooked beauty of Northern California landscapes. Her paintings frequently focus on the intersection of nature, agriculture, and industry, capturing subjects such as historic buildings, regional grain silos and farming scenes, the sculptural forms of California Buckeyes and other hidden beauty in plain site.
After a long career in high-tech software marketing, Laura returned to her lifelong passion for painting and now dedicates her work to exploring the visual character of the region she calls home. Inspired in part by her family’s history in California farming, she is drawn to working landscapes and the structures that shape them.
Through oil painting, Laura seeks to reveal unexpected and contemporary moments of color, geometry, and atmosphere within familiar environments, inviting viewers to see Northern California’s landscapes in a new way.
